Length of the stride
The concept or definition of stride length and stride forward by a broker or in a marathon is the distance recorres with each momentum you do with one foot or two feet during a race.
To find out the length of your stride (for stride forward), that is what we are progressing with each thrust of your legs. You must have a good measure distance and realize that distance by counting the strides then dividing by the meter strides, and you will have the length of the stride.

For instance, if you do the test speed, and do a series of 200 meters and sprint between the subway 50 and the 150 has taken 40 strides, the division would that with each stride is advancing 2.5 meters per stride.
To find out what is progressing in every stride in sub maximum speed limits or uses a distance 200 meters or 400 meters (depending on the purpose of studying rhythm). Put some brands in the intermediate distances of the test. For example, if you put in 200 meter marks among some subway 50 and 150, and if it does so in a 400 you can put a mark in the 100 and one in 300. You have to count the number of strides you give this piece and divide the distance by the number of strides.
Jack Farrell in www.coachr.org (in English) has a very interesting article on this subject. Try a concept sometimes forgotten when studying the rate and length of the steps of a corridor and is the absorption of oxygen in the muscles during flight, and while the foot is doing or outside pressure on the floor. Explain how important it is to have a long flight and relations with the rate.

Training to improve the length of the stride are based on averages or perform short sets at a good pace and with plenty of rest, of course controlling the values mentioned above, the work gap (downhill) are also used, but we must not forget that joints in these cases suffer a greater impact and this kind of work has to be very controlled in the planning.
