Arms in the style crawl

first corner crol

The entry of the hands in the water

The arm stretches through the extension of the elbow. The elbow is moving forward and down. The hand goes out to be relaxed and looking back to be with some tension looking down and out (position entering the water). The thumb is the first to make contact with the water when the arm is more or less at 2 / 5 of its total length.

If we were two straight lines parallel to each other, one that left the external side of the head and the other side of the shoulder, and uniéramos with an arc, the hand should fall within this range; In other words, the hand has to go almost front of the shoulder.
It is important that the entry is made with elbow flexion and in the highest hand. If we do a line left elbow, this should have an angle of about 45 º on the water surface. That is, the elbow should not look to the wall, should be directed upwards as possible.

extension brazo

Extended arm in water

The movement is mostly forward and slightly outward. This is achieved through progressive extension of the arm. The elbow must always remain higher than the hand and guided continue upwards and outwards. The wrist must turn to a prone position of the hand moments before the total extent of the arm, then had to start preparing for the next curve girándose out, backwards and downwards. The hand has to look in the same direction.

segunda cruva

Grasp

The hand makes a curve downward and slightly outward and backward, looking is the same direction. It is a semi-circular motion and comes conducted primarily by the bending of the elbow, which happens to be almost stretched to a sharp bending. The bending of the elbow is being progressively faster as more depth reaches his hand. Reaching the maximum deflection at maximum depth.

tercera curva crol

Flip

The hand passes to be looking outward, and back down (previous curve) to look inwards, and back up. The wrist shifts from light to light internal rotation external rotation. The arm has to direct the hand inwards, and back up. Using mostly the shoulder and biceps.
Hand, quiet and deep, it has to grab water and accelerate up the highest point in the brazada, with a circular motion from outside to inside and from the bottom to top.

cuarta curva

Push

Phase more propulsiva the breaststroke, the longest and corresponds to almost half of all aquatic tour.

This phase is twofold as it contains two small curves ..
The first: hand grabs depth as it rotates outward, back and slightly downward.
The second: is the proper curve and is mostly upward and outward and slightly behind. The correct placement of the hands in the final stages of the drawn is essential to harness the forces of both propulsion (resistance so) as the supporting (upward force).

Collection or recycling

Once drawn aquatic shoulder directs the arm forward and upward, from the thigh to its area of entry into the water. The elbow also goes forward and upward until it reaches the height of the shoulder, and then move forward and downward along with the hand in the search for water. The forearm remains relaxed until moments before making contact with water, and as close to the body throughout the journey. Hand also relaxed, looking back up to shoulder height, then gradually turns out to the first finger to contact the water is annular.
